James Owen is the Founder, President, and CEO of SHADOWSTRACK Investigations, LLC., which he launched in 1996.

Over nearly 30 years, he has built SHADOWSTRACK into one of the nation’s most respected private investigation firms, serving thousands of law firms annually. Under his leadership, SHADOWSTRACK has grown from a regional practice to a global investigative partner, handling high-stakes cases across the United States and abroad.

Owen has directed special investigations for Fortune 100 companies, political figures, professional athletes, and other high-profile clients. He has recovered more than a billion dollars in hidden assets and provided expert witness testimony in courts nationwide. His work spans complex matters such as corporate misconduct, internal theft, supplier fraud, non-compete violations, intellectual property disputes, and sophisticated asset investigations.
